When they decided to let William run wild with absolutely no consequences, that's when things really took a dive IMO. And that's when I decided to say fuck it and troll non-stop. Of course when I do it, it's a problem.

I get it that they don't want you to troll TD ... that's totally fair and I completely support that.

But on the rant, all it takes is one OG LSU fan from that site to RA you and you're done. They're too oppressive there.

In the past, most trolls were actually good at it and it was entertaining as hell but the last 3-4 years it's gotten worse and worse. Char's like metry/mulkey, sidewalk, willyt and a few others have cart blanche on the rant but fans from any other teams get banned right away unless they're specifically trolling Bama or Georgia.

So, frick them.

WT21 is a product of the combination of the culture there and a couple of schtick missteps along the way, IMHO. I think he’s a pretty smart dude, fully capable of having a serious conversation. Just not sure he’s willing to do it with his WT21 handle.

Agreed with all this. The trolling used to be clever and funny. Now it's nonstop, the majority of it is unfunny and repetitive and you don't even know who is doing it most of the time because of the alter thing.

Yeah, the Rant changed during the 2018-2019 offseason. Prior to that, what trolling there was was (mostly) good-natured and intended to be funny, and was generally kept to troll-specific threads. But after WT21 spent that entire spring and summer posting nonstop Bama trolls in every thread and generally doing the best he could to ruin the board, it has been a completely different place.

We all enjoy the "fun" trolling to an extent or we wouldn’t be there. It just gets to be too overwhelming when left unchecked and filters out any reasonable conversation. In moderation it’s fine IMO, but like with anything there’s a limit.

I actually like the guy because he's got a great sense of humor, and he does seem knowledgeable about some things. And to your point, you posted something before that really stuck with me — imagine being so embedded in your schtick that you can't have a serious conversation anymore, about anything.

Must be miserable to have to keep that up every day without just being able to act normal.

LSUFreek was good-natured in his trolling. He was aiming to make everyone laugh, and he even poked fun at LSU when the situation warranted. WT21 can be funny but he's too mean-spirited about it to ever reach Freek's level.
