College football needs a commissioner very, very, very badly.

Eh, it's insane at this point. I've always been on the players side and saying that they were getting shafted, but who knows what will happen now.

Playoff should be 8 teams. No more, no less.

More teams more money. Going from 3 Playoff Games to 11 Playoff games this year. 14 team Playoff would be 13 Playoff Games.theballguy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 9:41 am A 12 team playoff field hasn't even started and we're already getting discussion on expansion to 14-team playoff

Agree with this. I've begun to lose interest in it since the Covid season. Slowly but definitely surely.EarlyCuyler3 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 11:49 am Eh, it's insane at this point. I've always been on the players side and saying that they were getting shafted, but who knows what will happen now.

It's frustrating.
Colleges and the NCAA fought too long to reap all the benefits, so when it finally (and predictably) boomeranged, now the adjustment is just as extreme.
No, them paying for a college degree wasn't enough as colleges raked in millions upon millions.
And just like humans do, no one could find the sense to find a sensible middle ground before Pandora's box was ripped open.

The issue isn't with players getting paid. If they're going to get paid, fine, let them get paid. The problem is that no one is allowed to make any rules to level the playing field or promote keeping things competitive for all teams, which is, you know, the entire point of all this. If they keep changing things to benefit the players at the expense of the fans, eventually the fans will leave. They're going to kill the golden goose.EarlyCuyler3 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 2:15 am It's frustrating.

New info for possible 14 team playoff looks like SEC/BIG10 to get 3 automatic qualifiers, with Big 12/ACC getting 2, and the top big 5 team getting 1.
